My name is Becky and I have managed my small scale beauty business for the last 8 years however have worked in the industry for over 20 years, most recently completing beauty therapy Student and Teacher training assessor before embarking on my self employed journey.
How does it work?
Laser hair removal is not a new concept to the world of skin care, but one that is often overlooked in terms of its potential benefits compared to common alternatives. Suitable for all skin types we offer a rapid and gentle way to reduce unwanted or ingrown hairs, leaving your skin silky smooth and razor bump free. Our medical grade diode laser uses the optimum wavelength of light to deliver heat energy to the hair follicle without damaging the surrounding skin. We use the trialled and tested fully comprehensive AW3 All White Laser, a company that pioneered the use of Crystal Freeze Technology to laser and IPL machines, making the treatment much more comfortable. This selective heating of the follicle disables the hair permanently and over the next 7-10 days post treatment the hair will simply fall out leaving the skin smooth and hair free until the next phase of hair growth appears in 4-6 weeks later.

How many treatments are required?
Hair grows in three different cycles and Permanent Hair Reduction can only successfully treat hair during its growth stage. Only follicles in the growth phase contain hair and are destroyed by the heat. Resting hair follicles need to re-enter the growth phase before they can be effectively destroyed by the AW3 treatment. Therefore it is often necessary to undergo a course of 6-12 treatments ensuring that you leave at least 4-6 weeks between each session initially, once the follicle has been destroyed the hair will never grow back however new follicles can be activated during life events such as pregnancy, menopause or even severe stress. For this we would recommend an annual maintenance session.
The length and timing of the growth cycles are affected by numerous factors such as body site, hair density, thickness, ethnic origin, hormonal status and age.
Your treatment plan
Initially we will provide a consultation to explain the treatment in detail and assess your suitability. We will discuss the completed consultation form and provide you with all the information you need to be comfortable proceeding with treatment, including very clear costing and pre and post treatment instruction and advice. We would then perform a patch test with the laser to ensure no adverse reaction and you can begin your first session two days later.
